Photos: Novi Summer Art Series Draws Record Crowd

The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum brings interactive arts and science for children in Fuerst Park.

Color, texture, sound - these were found in abundance this week in Fuerst Park, where the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum was featured as part of Novi's Sizzling Summer Art Series for children and families. Novi Parks and Recreation's Lauren Sorrentino estimated over 400 people turned out for the event Tuesday, making it one of the largest attended yet.  Children made their way around various hands-on activity stations that offered a mix of art and science, dipping their fingers into tubs of gooey corn starch paste, exploring the properties of magnets, and filling ice cube trays with a rainbow of colored waters. On the historic township hall building, a clothesline strung with tye-dyed coffee filters swayed in the wind as the activity continued …
