Nationally renowned, Harvard-trained neurologist, Dr. Randall R. Benson has set decided to open up his own neurological practice in Novi. The Center for Integrated Neurology is located at at 43000 W. Nine Mile Road just east of Novi Road, according to a press release. “The Center is a general neurological practice located on the west-side of Metro Detroit, but we’re certain we’ll see patients from across Michigan because of our specialty in brain injury and sports-related brain trauma,” said Benson in a statement. Northville residents Mark and Jordan Dick hope to "surprise and delight" customers at the new JD Racing in Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk.
Go-karting isn't just for kids anymore. At the new JD Racing Indoor Karting in Novi, adults can get in the driver's seat to experience a fast-paced race on a challenging track. Father and son Mark and Jordan Dick, of Northville, recently opened the business in Fountain Walk and have geared it toward adults and young adults. "People walk in and they think it's either a fun park or an amusement park," Mark Dick said. "Then they look around and think, 'Wow, it's not what I expected,' but in a good way. The newest LUV location is now open in West Oaks.
You may have heard commercials for LUV Manis & Pedis on the radio, and now you can check out the hype at the new location in Novi. LUV Manicures and Pedicures opened at 43440 West Oaks this past Monday. LUV is best known for its classic manicure and pedicure deal for $30. Another thing LUV prides itself on is being American owned and operated. This is LUV's 13th location to open. Locations are mostly located in Michigan, with two in Illinois and one in Ohio. The next closest locations are in Livonia, Canton and Farmington Hills. The salon offers natural nails, extensions, gel polish and full body waxing, but the Novi location does not offer facials. The bakery opened recently in West Oaks.
After spending 30 years decorating cakes and pastries for friends, Debra Capaldi of New Hudson decided to open her own bakery. Perfect Desserts opened at 43448 W. Oaks Drive in Novi in October and offers cupcakes, special cake orders and other pastries. Capaldi, who attended pastry school at Oakland Community College, is the owner and chef of the family owned business. She said the bakery can personalize cakes for any occasion from birthday parties to weddings to bachelorette parties. A new Japanese steakhouse has opened in Novi. Genji Japanese Steakhouse, located at 27155 S. Karevich Drive across from Twelve Oaks Mall, had its soft opening two weeks ago and will celebrate its grand opening on Friday. The restaurant is owned by the Pi family, who have six other restaurants in Michigan—each one different than the other. Tony Pi said the family is happy to open a restaurant in Novi.
