Genji Japanese Steakhouse Opens in Novi

The restaurant offers several different dining experiences.

A new Japanese steakhouse has opened in Novi. Genji Japanese Steakhouse, located at 27155 S. The restaurant is owned by the Pi family, who have six other restaurants in Michigan—each one different than the other. Tony Pi said the family is happy to open a restaurant in Novi. Tilted Kilt Pub Opens in Novi

The new restaurant combines Scottish, Irish and English tradition.

The female servers, who wear plaid kilts, are a big part of the Tilted Kilt experience and are featured in their own calendar. Sports watching is another part of the experience as there are more than 50 televisions in the Tilted Kilt, so patrons can count on seeing their favorite games, Meussner said. "Wings and burgers are always a big hit," he said …

Just an FYI, heard the servers are dressed more like naughty school girls than Scottish kilts which are usually knee length. The skirts are short and the cleavage is plentiful! I'm not saying that's a problem as long as you know it's prob not the most kid friendly atmosphere. Some may think that parents don't normally take their kids to sports bars but it happens all the time...so moms be …   more ›

Doug Rossman said the new look of Novi Town Center cemented their decision to open the store in Novi. "I think it's really going to pick up nice," he said. The business offers custom digitally-printed T-shirts and other items using what is essentially a large ink-jet printer.
