Registration Open for Spring Sports Leagues in Novi

Register online for youth, adult and older adult leagues, including golf, softball, soccer, volleyball and more.

Spring activities are sprouting throughout the City of Novi including a variety of sports leagues for all ages. Registration is going on now via cityofnovi.org for the following spring and summer leagues: Older Adult Golf League Men’s, women’s and mixed leagues play 16 games with a partner using a round-robin schedule. Individual scores are recorded and will be celebrated at an outing and banquet on Sept. 11. Lawn Bocce Ball Bocce Ball is easy to learn and play; games will take place on the lawn of the Meadowbrook Activity Center. Adult Tennis League Fourteen matches are scheduled on a weekly basis with opponent at a convenient time and location for both. Novi Flashlight Egg Hunt Scheduled for March 22

Grab your coat and flashlight to hunt for Easter eggs on the Novi Civic Center grounds.

Novi's annual Flashlight Egg Hunt has been scheduled for Friday, March 22 from 7:30-9 p.m. The City of Novi Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department invites area children, ages 3-12, to bring a basket and flashlight to enjoy searching the Novi Civic Center lawn for goodie-filled eggs and prizes from Paradise Park, Novi Ice Arena, and Novi Youth Assistance. Children can also enjoy indoor activities including an inflatable bouncer, pictures with the bunny, an activity station, popcorn and sno-cones. Biggby Coffee will be on-hand with warm treats and Macaroni Kid of Novi will delight children with a special craft. Novi Offers Saturday Events for Seniors

Two upcoming events are scheduled at the Novi Senior Center this spring.

—Submitted by the City of Novi Everyone looks forward to Saturdays, but even more so when it is a Super Saturday! Novi’s Older Adult Services turns up the fun with themed Saturday events designed for those 55 years and older. Each Super Saturday event takes place at the Meadowbrook Activity Center, 25075 Meadowbrook Road, between 4-6 p.m. Dinner is included and the price is $7.50 per Novi resident or $9 for non-residents. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance at the Meadowbrook Activity Center or the Novi Civic Center, 45175 W. 10 Mile Road. Novi Civic Theatre Presents 'The Wizard of Oz' in March

Get ready to join the creative cast of characters and follow along with Dorothy as she travels down the yellow brick road. Tickets are now on sale for The Wizard of Oz presented by the Novi Civic Theatre. The show opens Friday, March 1 and tickets may be purchased online at cityofnovi.org. The production involves 79 cast members, ranging in age from 4 to 68 and stars Novi residents Austin DuBois  as the Scarecrow, Ellie Oegema as Dorothy, Connor Betts as the Lion and Trey Richman as the Tin Man.
