Steve & Rocky's Chef to Demo at Novi Farmers' Market

Jeff Evans will be cooking at the market on Saturday.

Chef Jeff Evans of Steve & Rocky's will be giving a cooking demonstration at the Novi Farmers' Market Saturday from 10-11 a.m. Evans is the night chef and pastry cook at the Novi restuarant. He will be using fresh produce from the farmers at the market and will offer samples of his creations. The Novi Farmers' Market is held in Fuerst Park Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Market is presented by the Novi Chamber of Commerce and the City of Novi.

Novi Farmers' Market Opens Saturday

The market is back at Fuerst Park through October.

The Novi Farmers' Market is back again this summer, opening Saturday at Fuerst Park. Featuring live music and locally grown produce, the market will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through October 20. The market offers fresh in-season produce from four local Michigan farmers and specialty products like pastries, sauce, sausages, honey, jam, and arts and crafts. Local vendors include the following: Food will also be sold by Ming Dynasty and Dego Joe’s Gourmet Italian. Ming Dynasty will sell spring rolls, crab rangoon, bubble tea and fruit smoothies. Dego Joe's will offer pastries, meatballs, pasta, ravioli and pasta sauce. Chef Demos are planned for June 16 at 9 a.m. by Chef Jeff Evans and on July 7 by Renee Chodkowski. The …

If you're hitting the Northville Farmers' Market on Thursday, be sure to stop by the Patch booth. Come sign up for our free newsletter and you could get a free Patch tote, handy for your farmers' market shopping. The farmers' market opens at 8 a.m. on Thursdays and ends at 2 p.m. It is located on the intersection of Seven Mile and Sheldon roads across from Northville Downs. Novi Artists Decorate 4-foot Apple to Promote Farmers' Market

The apple, part of Michigan's Apple Trail project, will be auctioned off at Eastern Market's Apple Gala.

This Saturday, a stop along the MI Apple Trail comes to Novi’s Farmers' Market, which runs from 9 a.m.-2p.m. in Fuerst Park. The public art project features 4-foot-tall, 3-D fiberglass apples that are being decorated by local artists and displayed at 20 farmers' markets in Michigan through September. Funded by a U.S. Department of Agriculture grant, the MI Apple Trail project is the result of a partnership between Detroit’s Eastern Market and the Michigan Apple Committee aimed at promoting art, local markets and Michigan’s apple industry. “We’re very excited that we were chosen to have an apple, and we just love that they’re promoting farmers' markets,” said Linda Daly, executive director of the Novi Chamber of Commerce. Novi Farmers' Market Moves to Fuerst Park

After five weeks at Suburban Collection Showplace, the market moves to the park permanently this Saturday.

Beginning Saturday, the Novi Farmers’ Market will move to Fuerst Park for the rest of the season, which ends Oct. 1. The market will also last an hour longer from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday. The market, which features live music, produce, flowers, jewelry and other wares, is moving after five Saturdays at Suburban Collection Showplace. “Improvements were made to the park, and the city has recently agreed to allow the market to be there on Saturdays, so we thought we'd jump at the chance to have our event in such a nice spot with great amenities, close to a great deal of activity and convenient to a large residential area,” said Scott Stevenson, Novi Farmers' Market master, in an email.
