Kitchen cutlery manufacturer CUTCO Cutlery will open its sixth location at 43215 Grand River in Novi, in mid-April. According to a company press release, CUTCO is based in Olean, NY, and has sold its products primarily through a national network of college students who sell through in-home personal demonstrations. The opening of retail stores is part of a growing initiative to give these products more visibility to customers and to form a deeper, ongoing relationship with CUTCO owners who live in the Detroit area. Owner Dan Di Sebastian says he opened the business to help create jobs, after losing his job of 30 years to a business bankruptcy.

A new women's fashion store has opened in Novi Town Center. Dots, which opened in mid-October, offers clothing, jewelry, lingerie, perfumes, shoes and more. Clothes come in sizes 0-24, and the store caters to women ages 25-35. Store manager Janette Khalaf said what makes Dots stand out from other women's stores is its customer service. "Our customers are definitely more important to us than anything," she said. She added that ladies can also get trendy clothes at Dots for great prices. Big Frog is now open in Novi Town Center.
After retiring from the auto industry, Doug Rossman decided he wanted to try something different and be his own boss. He decided to be a franchise broker for a year, and then ended up becoming a franchise owner himself. He and his wife, Robin, of Farmington Hills, opened Big Frog Custom T-Shirts and More at 26036 Ingersol Drive in Novi Town Center earlier this month. The retail center is giving away an all-expense trip for four.
Novi Town Center is having its grand re-opening on Sept. 13, and to celebrate, it's giving away a Disney vacation. The giveaway is for a vacation package for four people to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. The Supercenter opened at 8 a.m. Wednesday in Novi Town Center.
Walmart is now open in Novi, and it will remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Supercenter was opened to customers just before 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.
