Mark B. Robinson is a senior vice president of investments with a major regional investment banking and brokerage firm. Mr. Robinson provides investment-related services to individuals, private trusts and small non-profit entities.

Mark has applied his industry-related knowledge to numerous investor education endeavors. These have included:

• Television interviews on financial-related topics
  on local NBC, FOX, CBS and PBS affiliates in Southeast Michigan, and speaking engagements on investment management and oversight issues to industry groups and associations. 
• Selected by peers and industry experts as a 2010 and 2011 Five Star Wealth Manager and featured in HOUR Detroit and DBusiness magazines. 
• From 2003 to 2007 hosted a popular radio show
  titled “The Careful Capitalist.”  
• Lead contributing writer for a widely-circulated
  reference publication titled “Career Directory Guide for Business and Finance” 1993 edition published by Gale Research International, Ltd., a Thompson Gale Publication U.S. ISBN 0-8103-5604-X. 

 More recently, Mark Robinson has developed, and is currently presenting a first-of-its-kind, multi-state educational program consisting of a series of investment-related presentations. Sponsored by state securities regulators, this program is part of the “Investor Education in Your Community” educational initiative funded by a grant from the Investor Protection Trust, Washington, DC and the AARP Foundation.

This highly-successful program, and excerpts of its content, have reached over 15,000 investors in Michigan alone through libraries, community centers, community colleges, the Michigan State University Extension, radio, television, webcasts and Fortune 500 companies. Mark has also been sought out for his guidance and expertise by other states as they develop their investor education curriculum.

Mark is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Michigan Thanksgiving Parade Foundation which stages and perpetuates America’s Thanksgiving Parade®.

Mark received his Accredited Investment Fiduciary Auditor™ (AIFA®) professional designation from The Center for Fiduciary Studies, Katz School of Business, University of Pittsburgh and his Certified Investment Management Analyst™ (CIMA®) professional designation from the Wharton School of Business.
