1.The Fifth Third Bank Michigan State Fair will be taking place both in and outside of Novi’s Suburban Collection Showplace.

Mike Watts, Executive Directive for the Fifth Third Bank Michigan State Fair, said, “This is a very new facility with ample parking and the perfect family venue for an event like this.  This is one of the nicest places we could have a state fair, so we are really proud this is where the fair can call its new home.”

2. Many new things can be found at this year’s fair.

“We are bringing back many attractions from the original Michigan State Fair, such as racing pigs and a butter cow, to name just a few,” said Watts.

In addition to this, Fifth Third Bank is going to have a wifi hot spot and charging station to provide fairgoers with financial information and allow people to send emails if they choose to do so.  Bright House Networks will also have a fan zone area that offers TV, so people don’t miss the Michigan or Michigan State football games that are happening this same weekend.

3.  The Detroit Shrine Circus:  The most popular attraction returning to the fair!

“It’s a Detroit tradition, and I think the people are really excited about going to a fair where you can see more than only farm animals.  I think this is what makes our fair stand out above the rest, while helping support the Shriners volunteer organization,” Watts said.

4.  Tickets are still available for purchase.

It’s not too late to purchase tickets for the Fifth Third Bank Michigan State Fair!  Tickets are available on the fair website and are discounted from those purchased at the door.  Also, finding the Fifth Third Bank Michigan State Fair on Facebook offers fairgoers an additional discount for this event as well.

5.  Fairgoers have plenty of options when it comes to ticket pricing.

The ultimate wristband, which is the pass for the entire fair, is $25 in advance and $30 at the door for adults and children 36 inches tall or over.  This includes the circus, carnival, and everything else offered at the fair.

A $10 toddler wristband is available for children 35 inches or less.  This pass includes admission to the circus and the rides that these guests are tall enough to enjoy.

If you are looking to only attend the fair, which includes the livestock, home arts, indoor exhibits, entertainment, and the beer garden, the fair only pass would work best for you.  This is $6 for adults and $5 for children 11 years old and under in advance, and $8 for adults and $6 for children at the door.
