Novi Welcomes Decades-Old Automotive Tech Company

Danlaw, Inc., moved to Novi from Farmington Hills.



Danlaw, Inc., a company that creates driving technology, relocated its headquarters to Novi this summer.

"For 30 years we've been involved in automotive electronics," said Dan McClung, Danlaw's vice president of operations for engineering services.

Novi City Manager Clay Pearson and Danlaw founder and CEO Raju Dandu expressed their pride in the company's growth at its grand opening celebration Wednesday.

Danlaw, a 30-year-old company formerly headquartered in Farmington Hills, designs embedded controllers for major automotive companies like GM, Ford and Chrysler. Now in Novi, at 41131 Vincenti Court, the company has grown to 150 employees.

"Employment here has probably tripled in the past three years," McClung said.

Danlaw president and COO Tom Rzeznik said all of the company's sectors have grown and they continue to invest in research and development, which creates STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) jobs.

"These are high-paying jobs that our state needs," he said.

Danlaw is partnered with Odyssey Electronics, of Livonia, and Saline Electronics, of Saline, and had engineerig centers in India and China. It's been in Novi since July 29.
