Kim Wesner Receives Honor as Novi Middle School Librarian
She was recognized for leading her library in achieving exemplary status in Michigan's School Library 21 program.
State Senator Mike Kowall and Director of District Affairs Lynn O'Brien, 15th district, honored four Novi school librarians and their libraries at Thursday's school board meeting.
Kim Wesner was one of those librarians to receive the recognition. It is her sixth year as librarian at Novi Middle School, for grades seventh and eighth, and her 15th year in the district.
The Novi Middle School library media center achieved exemplary status in the Library of Michigan's School Library 21: Measurement Criteria for Michigan School Libraries for 21st Century Schools program. The program recognizes and commends performance by K-12 libraries.
