Novi Schools Announces New Leader in Human Services

Carol Baaki Diglio will start as the assistant superintendent of Human Resources for the upcoming school year.

The Novi Community School District Board of Education approved the appointment of Carol Baaki Diglio as the assistant superintendent of Human Resources at its meeting last week. 

“I am excited for Novi and for our employees,” said Steve Matthews, superintendent of the Novi Community School District. “Ms. Diglio will bring an energy and a passion to this position that will help move us forward as a district.”

Diglio has served the Novi Community School District in a variety of positions in the past 18 years. Since 2010, she has been Novi High School’s principal. She was instrumental in transitioning the high school to a six period day, creating a variety of student support systems, and advancing the Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate programs.

At Novi High School, Diglio has also been an assistant principal, the dean of students and a health teacher. While at Novi High School, she was also the high school varsity softball coach.

Diglio has a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Central Michigan University. She also earned an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University.

“Ms. Diglio has strong interpersonal skills, communicates clearly, and is not afraid to address difficult situations,” Matthews said. “She has the respect of both administrators and staff in the district. I look forward to working with her.”
