Novi Ice Dancers Named to U.S. Olympic Team

Madison Chock and Evan Bates, ice dancers who practice in Novi, earned silver medals Saturday at the 2014 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Boston.

They are one of three metro Detroit ice dancing teams who have been named to the U.S. Olympic team for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. 

Two-time reigning U.S. silver medalists Chock and Bates train at the Novi Ice Arena, 42400 Nick Lidstrom Drive.

Ice dancing team Lynn Kriengkrairut and Logan Giulietti-Schmitt, who also train at the Novi Ice Arena, placed sixth at Saturday's competition.
