Michigan State Fair: Prices, Schedules and More
Here's all the information you need to know about the Michigan State Fair in Novi through Labor Day.
The Fifth Third Bank Michigan State Fair is here! The highly anticipated event runs this weekend in Novi.

The fair is open 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday through Sunday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday. Below is all of the information you need to know to plan your visit, including schedules for the midway rides, circus, contests and entertainment.Feel free to print this off to take it with you, and don't forget to come back to Patch to share your photos!

Location & Parking
The fair is being held at the Suburban Collection Showplace, located at 46100 Grand River Avenue between Beck Road and Novi Road in Novi. If you're coming from outside of Novi, you can take the Beck Road or the Novi Road exit from I-96.
Parking is available at the Showplace for $5.

Ticket Prices
All-inclusive tickets at the gate (includes access to all exhibits, unlimited midway rides; does not include circus performances or carnival rides):- Advance: $6 - Adults and children 12 and older, $5 - Children 11 and under
- At the gate: $8 - Adults and children 12 and older, $6 - Children 11 and under
- Advance: $25
- At the gate: $30
Toddler wristband (for children 35 inches or less in height and provides admission to the circus, State of Michigan mandated allowable carnival attractions and the fair exhibit and entertainment area when accompanied by an adult):
- Advance and at the gate: $10
*Children under 35 inches, and accompanied by a paid adult admission, are admitted to the Michigan State Fair at no charge. This applies only to the indoor exhibits and livestock, it excludes circus performances and carnival rides.
Vendors & Exhibit Hall
The Exhibit Hall, with all of the fair's vendors and the Farmers' Market, will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.Midway Hours & Info
The midway will have rides like the merry-go-round and two Ferris wheels. The midway will also have several carnival games for fair-goers to play.
Fill yourself with yummy treats on the midway like elephant ears, deep-fried Twinkies and Oreos, corn dogs, cotton candy, hot dogs, hamburgers and french fries.
Hours are as follows:
- Friday-Sunday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Monday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Circus Performance Times
Detroit’s own Shrine Circus will entertain crowds with musical clowns and animal acts, including ponies, canines, tigers and elephants. Aerial daredevils will perform death defying feats on motorcycles, roller skates and in giant wheels and massive swings. Your all-inclusive ticket gets you into one free viewing of the show.
